Fue Hair Transplant
Aura Aesthetics & Plastics is dedicated to providing world-class FUE Hair Transplants at an affordable price. Our purpose built hair transplant centers cater for both men and women of all hair types.
Follicular Unit Extraction (FUE) Hair Transplant Method:
We specialize in the Follicular Unit Extraction technique of hair transplants also known as FUE. There are many benefits of FUE over the Strip method, one benefit is that, FUE, although more time consuming than strip, requires far fewer assistants hence reducing the number of variables which could result in error.
The FUE method is now, by far the most advanced hair replacement procedure available. There are various sub-categories to the FUE including “Ultra Refined FUE”, “Undetectable FUE” and “Robotic FUE” however the principal of all of the methods are exactly the same as per our illustration below:
1) Donor Area Identification: The donor region is assessed for suitability and shaved to size 1/2 to prepare for follicular harvesting
2) Harvesting FUE grafts: Individual follicular grafts are harvested from the donor area (each follicle containing between 2 to 4 grafts)
3) Implanting FUE grafts: The harvested follicles are now implanted into the areas of low density
If you want more information on how our FUE procedure can please feel free to call us and speak to a member of our Hair Transplant team.
Follicular Unit Transplant (FUT) – also known as the Strip Method
Although deemed by some to be an out-dated method of hair transplantation, at Aura Aesthetics & Plastics we offer the Strip Method as well as the FUE.
The Strip or “FUT” is suited for patients who have significantly reduced donor area as compared with the FUE. Although a small linear scar is left following the procedure the FUT does have the benefit of being able to extract more hair roots per follicular graft which can often result in a greater density than the FUE procedure. The FUT is also priced slightly lower than the FUE as it requires less surgical time than FUE.
1) Donor Area Identification: The donor region is assessed for suitability and shaved to size 1/2 to prepare for follicular harvesting
2) Harvesting the Strip:A long strip of scalp containing follicular grafts is cut out of the donor area using a scalpel.
3) Slithering: The Strip is then cut down into individual grafts – this process is also known as slithering.
4) The FUT grafts are now implanted into the areas of low density
